Paul has built a reputation for innovative and outstanding financial services solutions for clients, specialising in taxation, superannuation, and corporate finance.

Beginning his career as a Chartered Accountant with Duesburys, Paul became a Partner in 1983 and after the merger with Deloitte Touche Tohmatsu, Paul was appointed the Managing Partner in 1994.

In 2005, after a long professional association with MGD Wealth, Paul acquired a substantial shareholding in the company, bringing his vast taxation and financial services experience and knowledge. Paul was an integral part of the development of MGD Wealth into the integrated solutions business it is today, delivering complete financial clarity to clients.

In his role as Executive Chairman of the MGD Group and Head of Corporate Finance of MGD Private, Paul is committed to further evolving MGD as a market leader in wealth management services.

Paul’s experience in business is at both the director and shareholder levels. This experience gives Paul invaluable insight into the business process, including strategic decision-making and dealing with other professional advisers which is crucial in optimising a client’s advisory solution.

Paul is well known across the financial services and accounting professions for not only his professional profile, but also his love of both golf and wine.

Paul has a Bachelor of Business (Accountancy) from the Queensland University of Technology. He is a Fellow of Chartered Accountants Australia and New Zealand and a Fellow of the Taxation Institute of Australia.
